Your support also helps us be here for you.
How much does it cost to subscribe to Plum EMS?
The rates are $15.00 for an individual, $25.00 for a family, and $40.00 for business. The subscription covers Plum residents or businesses who reside at the address submitted to Plum EMS.
Do I need a subscription if I have health insurance?
Yes! Most insurance companies do not pay 100% of an ambulance invoice. Many people have deductibles, and co-pays you are required to pay in agreement with your insurance provider. Your paid subscription assures that you will receive a 50% discount on any balance on your invoice after your insurance carrier makes payment. Also, keep in mind, that non-subscribers are responsible for full amount of any and all applicable ambulance charges, which can exceed $1,000.00 per ambulance trip.
I thought Plum EMS wrote off 100% of my co-pay and deductibles?
Due to rising co-pays and high deductible insurance trends. Plum EMS was faced with either substantially increasing the cost of the subscription or attempt to recover some revenue from subscribers who use the ambulance. We believe that this is the best way to proceed, with the 50% discount program saves subscribers hundreds of dollars.
What is not covered by a subscription?
Non-emergency transports from home to doctors’ offices, hospital discharge to home or rehab facilities. Plum EMS will make recommendations for services that provide the nonemergency transports that will facilitate your needs. Financial contracts are between the Private Ambulance service and the patient.
